Arachynthos (or "Zygos") is located between the two large rivers of the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania, Evinos and Acheloos. Its highest point is Greveno at an altitude of 984m with very gentle slopes, easy access and a wide range of hiking and cycling routes with views of the mountains of Evrytania and the Panaitolikos to the north, the Ionian Sea to the west, and Panachaikos, Erymanthos and the Gulf of Patras to the east.
