Varasova

Varasova is a mountain of Aitoloakarnania located east of the Evinos river and west of Antirion and Paliovouna. It is a huge area of limestone rocks and its maximum height is 917 m. In ancient times it was called Chalkia.

It is also called the "Holy Mount of Aitoloakarnania", since hermitages have been kept there since the 10th century, until today.

With its panoramic view from the top, one can observe the Ionian Islands, Panaeotlikos, Erymanthos, as well as various peaks of the Peloponnese mountains!
